1. I missed someone's birthday recently but I can't remember who it was. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WHOEVER IT WAS! And sorry, my memory sucks. I wanna say it was maybe on Tuesday or something. idk though.


2. WWFM is inside the top 40! :D As of yesterday, he's #37 with 57 spins added. He's moving up daily! :)
We've still got the Leno appearance on Monday. It's late night and Leno loves Adam, so I'm hoping for more Lambliff shenanigans, as they're starting to get a bit naughty again. I guess they figured they laid low long enough; I knew Adam (and Tommy) couldn't/wouldn't behave for long. <3 I hope Adam glams it up again. And I hope Tommy changes up his damn outfit. :/ Can't he wear what he wore in the FYE video shoot?

I'd written a shit ton of stuff here but decided I didn't feel like sharing it after all. I think I just needed to type it out for my own benefit. It was all philosophical shit anyway and I'm sure no one really cares.

3. Thanks to everyone who sent me Christmas cards! I've been terrible about remembering to thank people when they send me cards, so thank you for the Christmas cards, postcards, and any other cards sent in the past few months that I've shamefully failed to acknowledge. D: <3 Love ya guys! I just have a horrible memory and get sidetracked really easily.

So, I've just watched it for the first time and...


Imma need to re-watch that like four more times to even BEGIN to understand the first 3/4 of it. LOL The last 1/4 mostly made sense but I just couldn't quite grasp the first 3/4 of the movie. It just kept going over my head. Evidently, I need to read The Picture of Dorian Gray... hmmm...oh.


OH.OOOOHHHH! I just went and read the synopsis for The Picture of Dorian Gray and OIC. The parallels are there and NOW it's making more sense! Damn, wish I'd known to do that ahead of time.

Oh well that's just brilliant! :D

Now I still can't quite figure out the jewel... I really need to watch it at least one more time. Possibly more. So many layers to this movie. Intriguing.

The soundtrack is amazing and it's visually impressive.



ETA: I've been trying to think of what this movie reminded me of and I've just thought of it.

The Man Who Fell To Earth.

Not because they're totally similar or anything but because of the way that the movies are structured and how I responded to both of them. It's like you know the movie is brilliant but you just can't quite completely grasp all of it. LOL I've watched The Man Who Fell To Earth two or three times and I ADORE that movie. Don't understand half of it but I adore it. I can almost understand it but then parts of it sort of slip through my fingers. That's kind of how I feel about Velvet Goldmine. As I continue to ponder the movie almost two hours later, I'm understanding parts of it and almost grasping other parts but then they slip away.

Another viewing is definitely in order.

Forgot to post these! I picked up a new cat. Still gotta take her to the vet but I've only had her two days. She's a stray who needed a home. :3 She had a flea collar that someone had given her, so she doesn't have any fleas and her eyes and fur look to be in very good condition. I'm STILL trying to feed her a de-worming pill but no luck so far. I did give her a bath, which she took pretty well, surprisingly. I was ready to do battle. LOL Sure I got my jeans completely soaked and got a claw or two in my leg but, for the most part, she held still.

My sister named her, since I've named nearly ALL of the other cats. LOL She named her Longineu (pronounced like longitude only with "new" instead of "tude") after the drummer in Adam's band because she loves his name. LOL

She looks like Tokio's twin, even down to the white paws and half-and-half face! :O She's a little smaller than Tokio,though. Underweight and I think she's younger. She's been eating up a storm and she "talks" a lot. :D Very, VERY cute, loving kitty.

She's afraid of the other cats, though. Like she's the friendliest, most loving kitty ever but she's terrified of the other cats. She's getting better but they're all still hissing at each other. She won't come out of the bathroom when the other cats are out. She just hides behind the door. :( She gouged the shit out of my hand last Thursday night or whenever because she got all skittish and tried to go after Draco. So I had to grab her and carry her back to the bathroom but she was struggling and dug her claws into my hand. Left a sliver of claw IN MY HAND. Ouch!

Hopefully it gets better. :( I want her and Tokio to be like bff and all. I need to get Longineu a collar, speaking of which. Something gaudy like Tokio's.

I just thought it was awesome enough to post. I got a holiday card from the White House! XD I know they have a mailing list but not everyone on the list gets cards. I think you had to be more than passively invested in the campaign to get one. :D

I'm keepin' this. I'm happy they used union labor in the US to print the cards. :)

ETA: I found this on Huffington Post. The DNC won't say how many were sent out! I really want to know. D: It's a REALLY high quality card. Like almost thick enough to qualify as poster board. Very pretty. The gold Presidential Seal and lettering on the front are actually embossed, not printed.

...OH YEAH! Adam was AWESOME on Conan last night. He did some neat improv with the song and changed it up a little bit. Best performance of WWFM so far, IMO. Instead of the song seeming like plea like it usually does, this time is was defiant and completely awesome! However, WHERE WAS LAMBLIFF?

Monte's sparkly new white guitar is pretty sweet, though. Now he and Tommy match, since Tommy has a sparkly white bass! And Tommy, of course, was adorable even if he was sick. :( He was wiping his nose at the end, poor thing. So fucking adorable. We also got to see LP's new drum set...I think he named it Dark Knight or something like that? Yeah, he named his drums. But they're glittery black drums, so they're definitely cool enough to need a name.

Erm, this band has A LOT of glittery things. They're so perfect together. Slightly wild, glittery as fuck. :3 Someone said that Monte said that the band is in it for the long run, which makes me UNBELIEVABLY happy because they're all so fucking awesome and I've grown so attached to all of four of them, especially the guys (since the fans don't have much interaction with Lisa). I srsly might cry if any one of them left or something. ;_; I'd miss LP's 500 daily tweets and his ritual morning call for all Animal Outlaws to report for duty before he sends us off on one assignment or another. I'd miss Tommy's "Ello!"

It's gonna be a FUN ride. It already is!


HEY, AT LEAST I'M NOT POSTING EXCLUSIVELY ABOUT ADAM.

I loved the WBMW video! I kind of got a lump in my throat a bit. idk y. It was just very sweet and very well done. I like the simplicity of it- it matches the song lyrics really well.

Apparently the McDonald's restaurants here in China are currently carrying the McRib sandwich. Have I told you about my self-destructive addiction to that particular menu item? In a nutshell: I would hurt my own mother to get a McRib sandwich. I would sell my body on the street for another fix of that tangy barbecue and pork. In fact, just writing about it is giving me the shakes.

Anyway, the technical director Scott has taken lunch orders for McDonald's three times in the past week and each and every time I've received a sandwich that was not the McRib. Once it was a soggy chicken sandwich, and another time it was some sort of pork-and-vegetable patty that I've dubbed the McChurl.

Anyway, do you know what happens to junkies when they hit a certain phase of their withdrawal? They get violent.

I'm hungry.

The cable TV in my hotel room carries mostly Chinese-language channels, in addition to a few Japanese and Russian ones. Sometimes I enjoy lying in my bed staring at the train wreck that is Asian television programming: if you want a glimpse of personal insanity, watch twenty minutes of Chinese product advertisements. The combination of the tonal sound of the Mandarin language, odd background music, and confusing imagery captivates me and makes me feel uncomfortable at the same time.

The most horrifying TV commercial that I've seen thus far has been for KFC: it starts with a lonely Chinese girl standing outside darkened clothing stores while snow swirls in the evening air around her. Her sad face belies the fact that she's alone on Christmas (or some shit like that), and has accepted her fate when suddenly OMG! her preppily-dressed group of friends runs up behind her, surprising her with camaraderie and buckets of fried drumsticks, breasts, and thighs!

Weird. Just weird.

Anyway, the few English-language channels KEEP PLAYING EPISODES OF GLEE. Now, I'm a big fan of Glee, even though it makes me fear for my heterosexuality. However, I've already seen all the episodes of the season AND I DON'T WANT TO SEE THEM AGAIN. Unless if they're dubbed in Chinese ^__^
